Instructions
- Remove the cork lid.
- Spread up to 6 seeds and bury them slightly.
- Water or mist, keeping the substrate moist but not soaked.
- Place in a warm location with a few hours of direct sunlight each day.
- It may take 7 to 10 days to germinate and 4 to 6 months to bloom.
- When the substrate feels dry (check with your finger), add a little water.

- How long does it take to grow?
The sunflower takes about 7 to 10 days to germinate. If several germinate, when the leaves start to appear, you should remove the weaker ones so that the stronger ones can thrive. The sunflower can take between 4 to 6 months to bloom.
- Will it grow again?
The sunflower is an annual plant. After harvesting all the flowers, you should replace the soil and plant more seeds.
- How often should I water it?
The sunflower likes moist soil, but not soggy. Check with your finger in the soil: if it feels dry, water it near the soil with about a coffee cup's worth. In summer, it requires more regular watering. Remember that the Garden in a can does not have a drainage hole, and if it retains too much water at the bottom, it can harm the plant.
- Should I place it outside or transfer it to a pot?
Our kits are designed for indoor use, in a location with light and direct sunlight, but they can be placed outdoors as well. It is not necessary to transfer it to a pot; the Garden in a can has enough space for the sunflower to grow, but if you wish, you can move it to a larger pot or garden.
